If you watched Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo (WFBKJ), at some point you have felt intense craving for Korean fried chicken, and if you have been to Korea and tried the legit Korean chicken, it must be torture to watch Bok-joo and her friends devour the chicken from her father's restaurant. Unfortunately, I'm both. I have been craving Korean fried chicken since last month mainly because Koreans make the best fried chicken, duh, and I watched WFKBJ, little did I know, I'll be torturing myself, salivating over their fried chicken. My family and friends know that I'm not a chicken person (I will always pick it last) BUT Korean fried chicken is an exemption. Aside from samyupsal and tteokbokki, Korean fried chicken is one of my favorites. I decided to blog this to share it with people who also love Korean food and chicken. The restaurant is underrated and I hope if you decided to try it out, you will also have the sweeg~ moment :) So anyway, here's a short story on how we found KTC. Steph, Guila and I were supposed to have dinner in Jumong Korean Restaurant then while walking Guila saw the signage of KTC, we ignored it at first and continue walking to Jumong but halfway there we went back and checked the place out. It's a really small place, it could only fit around 20 customers at once and they only have limited items on the menu. You wouldn't even notice the restaurant at all, it just so happen that we were walking leisurely. The Korean restaurant is called - Korean Traditional Chicken aka KTC! it is located in 5648 Don Pedro Street, Poblacion, Makati City. If you're familiar with Jumong Korean Restaurant, it's just few steps away from there. Here's the map and photos of the restaurant, for your reference: Why I love the chicken:
The first time we ate there, we forgot to take a photo of the chicken and place. We were so absorbed in eating and talking that we forgot to take pictures. So the next day, we went back but we ate in Jumong so we ordered take-out for the chicken. Eating the chicken was a sweeeg~ moment, it felt like we were in WFBKJ having Bok-Joo's dad fried chicken from their restaurant so we decided to call it Bok-joo chicken! Hahaha I'm sorry for the photos :( but promise, the chicken is yummy! I know that we have our own preferences but I know that it's definitely worth a try :) xoxo, M
