Under the night skyJA Bateaux Dubai This luxury vessel offers a bespoke experience where you can explore the waterways of Dubai Creek while enjoying freshly prepared gourmet cuisine in air-conditioned comfort. Relax and take in panoramic views accompanied by a four-course à la carte culinary journey, which also includes an extensive selection of fine beverages and signature personalised service. (from their website: JA Bateaux Dubai) In our last night in Dubai, I booked us a dinner date in JA Bateaux Dubai. I researched for the most romantic restaurants in Dubai and this came up on most of the posts online - and it did not disappoint. Also, it is the only dinner cruise in Dubai with full kitchen and chef on board, and they prepare the meals inside the vessel. The others only do pre-heating on board. Here's the website - JA Bateaux Dubai for your reference. Three things to start with - I'm hopeless romantic, I love really good food and I love dinner dates. Two of the most important considerations in my decision is the food and ambiance. I must say that I did a great job on this (pats my back :p) because my boyfriend loved it and I did too! Now, let's get down to the nitty gritty. Location It's very accessible. Located in Al Sareef Street, opposite of the Consulate of Kuwait. (You can pin it on Uber - Bateaux Dubai) The Vessel One of the things that made me book this one is the floor to ceiling glass panel aka 180 degrees view. It looked so good online and even better IRL (!!!). I don't have photos of the whole vessel but you may check their gallery - JA Bateaux Dubai - Gallery. (heart eyes) It looks exactly what you see on the photos, the interiors were really nice. The lighting was perfect (not too bright or too dark). The tables have enough space for privacy. I love the wood, black and gold details. The place was elegant without being intimidating or flashy. I also love the music - romantic but not too soft. It has two viewing deck, restaurant level and second level. I recommend the 2nd level viewing deck, you can enjoy the view while waiting for the next course. They play nice trance and house music but not too loud, it sets the perfect mood, Service Our car dropped us off right in front of their office and then a staff lead us to the dock. Upon entering the vessel, we had our photo taken at the entrance with their photographer. Then, we were ushered to our table. Once seated, we were served with hors d'oeuvre and drink. Afterwards, our server gave us the menu with options on our 4-course meal. The servers were polite and friendly without being intrusive. They were very attentive. They asked about the food and had a small talk with us. That was probably one of the best customer experiences I've had. Food The food was amazing. I cant' clearly remember what the hors d'oeuvre were but they were delicious and the drink was very refreshing. I enjoyed the bread and butter (after we had brunch in Le Pain Quotidien, I've be eating a lot of bread - more than the usual hahaha) Soup: Cauliflower Soup Starters: Smoked Chicken Breast - Avocado, foie grass, soya, citrus & sweet chili sauce. Truffle Risotto - Saute baby mushroom and parmesan foam. Main Course: Pan Seared Cod Fish - Curried quinoa, carrot purée, baby vegetables and lemon caper sauce. (MUST TRY!) Lamb Three Ways - Lamb cutlet, herb crusted loin and lamb chop with asparagus, polenta & goats cheese tart, sweet potato puree & Vadouvan sauce. Desserts: Fresh Sliced Fruits - Pineapple, Honey Melon, Rock Melon Dragon Fruit, Kiwi, Berries, Raspberry Macaroon Shell, Mashmallow, Lemon Sorbet. Chocolate Fondant - Orange and Chocolate brownie, Coffee macaroon shell, Pistachio dust and peanut butter ice cream. (MUST TRY!) You can check the full list here: JA Bateaux Dubai - Menu Over-all Experience ✩✩✩✩✩ If you see the photos below, it was very obvious that I was happy. The service, food and customer experience was superb. It felt very special and exclusive. I love that the food did not disappoint and could be on par with five star hotels. I would highly recommend this for couples or families for intimate gathering and celebrations. xoxo, M
